Facing Persija, Espanyol will Play Ex Players Madrid and Barcelona
RCD Espanyol coach, Quique Sanchez Flores, will try two new players in a friendly match at the Stadium of counter Patriot Persija Jakarta, Bekasi, on Wednesday (19/07/2017).
They are former Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero (30) and FC Barcelona graduate, Sergio Garcia (34).
It was revealed Quique Sanchez Flores at a press conference before the match against Persija at Fairmont Hotel, Senayan, South Jakarta, Tuesday (18/07/2017).
Esteban Granero had three seasons to defend Real Madrid before moving to Queens Park Rangers.
Meanwhile, the other crew Espanyol other is the former Barcelona striker, Sergio Garcia.
“This is our first visit to Indonesia, we want to know how Espanyol’s image is here,” Quique told the media crew.
“We are serious about this fight. I want to try two new players, Esteban (Granero) and Sergio (Garcia). So, get ready to see an open game,” said the former coach of Watford.
Representing Espanyol player, Granero admitted enthusiastically welcomed the match versus Persija. Previously, the player also entered the QPR squad held Persebaya Surabaya in 2012 ago.
“It’s not my first time to Indonesia, but this is my first time to Jakarta,” Granero said.
“I know a lot of La Liga fans in Indonesia through social media, now I want to see them directly,” he said.
